Summer in the City

So seeing as how I haven't written on here in like 4 months I figured I would kind of update what's going on around here. A few months back I decided that my main goal in life right now would be to graduate early. To do this it meant that I had to take 5 online classes during the summer. At the time, this sounded like a breeze, in reality, not so much. Online classes definitely aren't the right learning method for me. But hopefully if I plow through them I will be able to graduate November 23rd! Happy, happy day! So that's pretty much what I've been doing this summer. I also spent a lovely week in Vernal with my sister. Besides me dying of allergies, it was pretty bomb diggity. I love my Meech and I love any time that I can spend with her and her charming cackle. As for my little puppy Roo, well she's not so little anymore. We found out the first time the irrigation came that she is an absolute water dog. We can't keep her out of the water. We have a big tub that we put her water in so she can drink out of it and she just sits there and splashes and barks at it. In fact, I'm pretty sure that was the first time I ever heard her bark was at that water. We decided after that to take her to Bear Lake to see how she liked that. At first she wasn't so sure about the deep water where she couldn't touch, (refer to the bruises on my arms, legs, and stomach) I think the drunk ladies with their Bud cans didn't help this, but then we found a water bottle for her to retrieve and she was all over it. The dog can retrieve stuff for hours. It's definitely the Lab in her. We also got Aspen a little buddy in the middle of July. It's a little German Shorthair for my dad to hunt with. Her name is Keya, I think. I'm just kidding we've changed it about 4 times but this time it is definitely Keya. She's a feisty little thing. She tries to fight Aspen but Aspen just lays down on her and that kind of ends the fight because then we have to pick up Aspen (which is not an easy feat) before she suffocates Keya. Anyways, I'm pretty sure that's all that's been happening around here besides the usual. So, bye!

Updates

So, I don't really know what to say. Aspen has been growing like crazy as of today she was 29.2 pounds! We call her a horse, lovingly of course. Not much has been going on except for crazy school with tons of classes and tests and a little bit of studying. I'm starting a new blog soon that will have my flowers and headbands on it so that should be fun. I really can't think of anything right now but I know as I lay in bed tonight I'll think of all these things that I should have said and then I'll forget them by morning. Don't you hate how that always happens? Anyways I guess I'll end now while I'm ahead. :)

Snow Day!

Today we woke up and decided to take Aspen for a walk. We just went around the block but she got pretty wore out. Then I decided to invite my friends over to help me build a snow fort in the middle of my yard. It turned out that most of them couldn't make it so I decided to invite the young men and young women in my ward. This was so much fun. We ended up building two forts, one in the middle and one over in the ditch. We had hot chocolate and donuts and Aspen was outside for most of it. The poor thing is really wore out now and asleep on the floor right now. She has really been outside very much and today was the longest that she ever had. She likes to wander around and smell everything. Dad is trying to talk me into letting her be a hunting dog but I don't want her to be. She's just supposed to be my little baby puppy. I'm already getting sore from all the shoveling, lifting, and packing for the fort. I'm definitely ready for a bed right now and it's only 6:41! I'm turning into an old person!

Aspen Roo Comes to BC

BAT DOG!!!

This is a blog all about mine and Aspen's adventures. So first off we'll start by introducing Aspen. Aspen is 6 weeks and 2 days old today. She was born December 8, 2009. Her mom is a lab/husky mix and her dad is a lab mix. She was the chubbiest girl of her litter and the cutest. She likes to play with her squeaky duck and run around outside. She is very friendly to all people but does like to bite. Her favorite chew toy is Mom's slippers. As of Sunday she was 7.6 pounds and 9 inches tall. That has already changed because I weighed her yesterday and she was already 8.4 pounds. She also likes to take long naps in the carrier or the floor and sprawl out on her back. We adopted her into our family on January 13, 2010. She was a birthday present for my 17th birthday, I had been waiting to get a puppy since I was about four and it was so much fun to get this one. She is such a sweet little girl. We've only had one incident where she got off her leash and was roaming around the house while we were gone. We're still working on getting her potty trained but she does pretty good. We love her already and I know that I'm more attached than I should be.
